Chef in a modern kitchen preparing dishes

Adam Kisellus

Sous Chef

Adam’s culinary journey began at a young age working in a restaurant where his mom was employed.  Starting around age 12, he hustled through various roles – bussing, dishwashing, waiting tables, and cooking.  After a 16-year stint in the saw tooling industry, which brought him to Dubois County, Adam was inspired to return to his true passion for cooking when a friend offered him an opportunity at One Moore Bar & Grille in Dubois back in 2020.

Fueled by the exciting culinary scene on 4th Street, Adam joined the Butcher & Barrel team as he continues to feed his passion for hospitality and the culinary arts.  Adam brings a flair for unique flavors and artistic plate design to the restaurant. He’s passionate about creating visually stunning dishes and thrives in the high-energy environment of the kitchen.

Outside of work, Adam focuses on being a great husband to his wife and a great dad to his two children.  He enjoys skateboarding and is deeply dedicated to his craft.  His love for cooking and hospitality is a fundamental part of who he is: “Cooking and hospitality exist in my soul; I love it more than anything.”
