Amanda’s journey into mixology is as vibrant and dynamic as the cocktails she creates. Growing up in a small town, surrounded by cornfields and soybeans, she took her first step into the food and beverage industry at just 15. After exploring various roles from server to nurse, Amanda found her true calling behind the bar, where’s she’s been crafting unforgettable cocktails since 2008.
Amanda’s expertise flourished at Tumbleweed on the Waterfront and West Baden Resort, where she mastered the art of mixology under the guidance of renowned mentors. She further hones her skills at the Exchange in New Albany, Indiana, where she was part of an elite team of bartenders handling private parties and events. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Amanda continued to excel, becoming a standout competitor in Speed Rack Season 12 and The Reid Global Cocktail Competition, just to name a few of many accomplishments.
Amanda is a member of the United States Bartenders Guild, Indianapolis Chapter, and a Chilled Magazine Chilled 100 Member. She was chosen from hundreds of applications to be one of 90 bartenders for 2023 Wild Turkey’s Behind the Barrel. Amanda has created many cocktail menus for different venues including ours at Butcher & Barrel.
When she’s not bringing unforgettable cocktail experiences to Huntingburg, Amanda finds joy in kayaking, gardening and exploring the outdoors. She’s a proud mother to her son Talon and shares a love of adventure with her husband.
